I’ve tried just about every diet trend out there. Plant-based, Whole30, keto, low-carb, fasting (which I still love), and just about everything in between. Over the years, I’ve spent a lot of time learning about nutrition, experimenting with different approaches, and figuring out what works best for my body and lifestyle.

Nutrition is a genuine passion of mine, which is ultimately why I decided to become a NASM Certified Nutrition Coach (CNC). I wanted to take what I’ve learned through my own experiences, expand my knowledge through science-based nutrition education, and use that knowledge to help other men and fathers who might be struggling with the same things I once did.

My goal isn’t to put you on another restrictive diet. It’s to help you understand how nutrition actually works so you can make informed decisions and maintain your progress long after we’re done working together.

My Approach to Nutrition

I believe nutrition starts with understanding what you’re putting into your body. Personally, I prioritize grass-fed beef, pasture-raised eggs, quality protein sources, organic non-GMO produce, and minimally processed foods whenever possible. I’m a big believer in knowing where your food comes from and being intentional about the ingredients you’re eating.

But I also understand that everyone has different schedules, budgets, and families to feed. You don’t need to buy everything organic, eliminate entire food groups, or eat perfectly every day to improve your health.

If you are looking for the best options to shop organic, check out my post about the dirty dozen.

My approach combines science-based nutrition education with practical habits that fit your lifestyle. I focus on three areas when helping someone improve their nutrition:

Food Quality and Ingredients

I encourage choosing whole, nutrient-dense foods whenever possible and paying attention to ingredient quality. That doesn’t mean you need to spend a fortune at the grocery store or avoid every processed food. It’s about understanding your options and making better choices with what’s available to you.

Calories, Macros, and Fueling Your Body

Understanding how much you’re eating is just as important as understanding what you’re eating. Calories influence weight management, protein supports muscle growth and recovery, and carbohydrates and fats play important roles in your health and performance.

Whether you’re trying to lose body fat, build muscle, or train for an endurance event, we’ll look at your individual needs rather than following arbitrary numbers from a diet you found online.

Building Habits You Can Maintain

I don’t believe nutrition should prevent you from enjoying dinner with your family, going out to eat, or having your favorite foods.

Consistency matters more than perfection. I want to help you develop an approach that supports your goals without feeling like you’re constantly dieting or starting over every Monday.

NUTRITION PROGRAMS

Not everyone needs ongoing nutrition coaching. Some men just need better meal ideas and a little direction. Others have been trying to lose weight or build muscle for years and want someone to help them understand what isn’t working.

I’ve put together two options depending on where you’re at and how much support you’re looking for.

Prepped for Success: 12 Simple Meal Prep Recipes

Personalized Nutrition Coaching

Maybe you’ve been trying to lose body fat but aren’t seeing the progress you expected. Maybe you’re lifting and running regularly, but you have no idea if you’re eating enough to support your training. Or maybe you’re tired of constantly wondering what you should and shouldn’t be eating.

That’s where I can help. We’ll start by looking at what you’re currently eating, what you’re trying to accomplish, and what your days actually look like. From there, we’ll work together to develop a nutrition approach that makes sense for your goals, schedule, and lifestyle.

What’s included:

  • Initial nutrition and lifestyle assessment
  • Personalized goal-setting and nutrition education
  • Calorie and macronutrient guidance
  • Protein, carbohydrate, fat, fiber, and hydration strategies

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

DO I HAVE TO TRACK CALORIES OR MACROS?

No. Tracking can be a useful tool, especially when you’re trying to understand how much you’re eating, but it’s not something everyone needs to do forever. We’ll figure out whether tracking makes sense for your goals and how comfortable you are with it.

DO I HAVE TO BUY EVERYTHING ORGANIC OR GRASS-FED?

Absolutely not. Those are choices I personally prioritize when possible, but I understand everyone has a different budget. Eating better shouldn’t create financial stress for your family. You can make significant improvements to your nutrition without buying the most expensive ingredients in the store.

CAN I STILL EAT CARBS AND ENJOY FAMILY MEALS?

Of course. I eat rice, potatoes, fruit, and plenty of carbohydrates because they support my training and recovery. And being able to sit down and enjoy a meal with your family matters. You don’t have to give up the foods you enjoy to make progress. You need to understand how they fit into your overall nutrition.

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO OPTIONS?

Prepped for Success is a one-time digital purchase with 12 simple meal prep recipes and practical meal-planning guidance. Nutrition Coaching is where you and I work together directly. I’ll help you understand your specific nutritional needs, review your progress, provide weekly accountability, and make adjustments along the way. If you just need meal ideas, the eBook may be enough. If you’re looking for more personalized help, that’s what coaching is for.

CAN I CANCEL MONTHLY COACHING?

Yes. There are no long-term contracts. Coaching is billed monthly, and you can cancel according to the subscription terms provided when you enroll.
